Our Hawaii Family Vacation
Aloha everyone and thank
you for stopping by our website. If you have found our site, you are probably thinking about an
Hawaii family vacation. We (my family and I) were in your shoes less than a year ago, trying to
decide what we wanted to experience on our Hawaii family vacation. As we browsed the various websites, I
came to the conclusion that most of the informative websites about Hawaii were business sites. I decided that
when we returned from the islands, that a new website was going to be created with experiences from our
personal adventure there.
If you plan to visit Hawaii, and especially
the island of Oahu, I invite you to browse this site and see all that we experienced in paradise. Videos and
Hawaii pictures that my beautiful wife (an excellent and talented photographer) and I took while there
will entice you and make you want to book your vacation to Hawaii as soon as
possible.

A little background on our Hawaii
family vacation: Karen, my wife, was asked to do a business presentation at a conference on the island of Oahu, she
asked me if I wanted to tag along. Although I am 45 years old, I had never been on an airplane in my life, but I
decided that although I was terrified of flying, I couldn't pass this opportunity up. At first it was going to be
just the two of us heading to paradise for the time of our life. As we planned the adventure, we decided that we
should take our two youngest children along with us. Jordan our middle child, was 18 and getting ready to graduate
high school and would be starting college at the University of Kentucky in the fall, and Jade, our 16 year old
daughter, who is now a Junior at Green County High School was also asked to join us on the trip. Of course both
excitedly agreed to accompany us.
It worked out great for us, as we
pretty much received a 25 percent discount on the airline tickets and the hotel room, since Karen's plane ticket
was paid for and a couple of nights lodging was already paid for.
One of the first things we did
was to go to Barnes and Noble and pick up a couple of books about Oahu. The books we purchased gave us a great
starting point on deciding which sights we should see while visiting Hawaii. The choices were amazing; numerous
beautiful Hawaiian beaches, snorkeling, pineapple plantations, Hawaiian luaus, hiking through rainforests, and the
numerous Hawaii tours available was staggering.
Since I am an avid World War II
history and movie fan, Pearl Harbor was the first item on my list. Karen's first agenda was making sure we hiked to
a beautiful waterfall. Jordan wanted to snorkel and Jade wanted to swim with the dolphins. In our seven short days
there, we accomplished all of the above and much more.
The pure beauty and splendor in the Hawaiian landscape is
staggering. On one of our Hawaii tours, we would remark that this location is the most beatiful scenery we
had ever witnessed, then 15 minutes later at the next stop, there would be a spot that was even more
beautiful. I'm not exaggerating, we were expecting a beautiful place, but it exceeded our expectations in
every way.

We invite you to share our experiences by looking around the site. It is our hope that our
experience can assist you in planning your Hawaii family
vacation.
